Aim of Centre for awareness, counselling and Family Education
- Strengthen, reinforce and equip families so they may have the tools to deal competently with typical challenges and problems of our time.
- Make significant contributions to prevent crime, divorce, teenage pregnancy, domestic violence, under-achievement at school, dropout and other social problems in The Netherlands, Dutch Caribbean Islands, Curacao, Aruba and Bonaire.
- Provide information, insight and professional guidance in a constant and structural manner to families. Create an infrastructure that will specifically focus on well-being and problems that current families are facing, empowering them to effectively face current and future challenges. In short, help empower families and make them resilient.
- Put help “one click” away for all families. Provide access to resources, help and professional guidance through online services to both professionals and families. Make coaching, counselling and therapy accessible to all.
- Provide information, seminars, workshops, webinars, folders, booklets, books (both hard copy and digital) and other resources to families, professionals, foundations and government.
- Conduct research and other scientific projects in order to provide professionals, government and families validated information that is also culturally sensitive. Conduct research in our local community so that we can use the results for policymaking and other purposes.
- Provide families and organizations with access to scientific work that has been published. In short, provide scientific findings on the family field in other countries that face the same challenges we do. Provide constant updates regarding new scientific facts and findings on family-related fields.
- Establish and maintain good working relations with other organisations and private agencies that work toward the same goals. Work as team; complement existing organizations that pursue the same goals.
- Make use of all possible resources and mediums available to reach the goal of strengthening and empowering families. Innovate, adapt and compete in the effort to offer the best to families now and in the future.
